WW - Patek Philippe "Hourglass," Genève, ref 1593, circa 1946, manual wind, 25mm x 42mm to lug tips, 20mm lug width, original 18K rose gold snap back case with a fabulous hourglass shape this watch has become known for, brown leather strap, original silvered dial with applied rose indices, 18J cal 9-90, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, case s#649857, movement s#839928, triple signed. Gross weight of assembled watch without strap 20.5 dwt (31.9 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, hardly any oxide to steelwork, light fine scratches to plates; excellent dial with light surface spotting and paint flecks to edge which are hidden when cased; excellent-plus hands; polished case shows very little wear, strong lugs and crisp hallmarks, no dents or dings; replacement modern Calatrava cross crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal, there is a high point at the center where the original faceted crystal would have peaked, giving this watch a lip.
